According to the trends of the modern world, we have to change the marketing strategy to survive in this era, that is why the committee Volontariat in Pondicherry, India, decided to sell online the products of Atelier Shanti, through ETSY.
ETSY is a global marketplace for unique and creative goods. It’s home to a Universe of special, extraordinary items, from unique handcrafted pieces to vintage treasures.
Today we have started to place few of our products on ETSY website like Travel Bag Big and Small, Shopper Bag, Toilet Pouch and Make up – Pouch, Shopper bag with kolam embroidery, etc. In future, according to our sales and statistics, we will place more products.

Thank you!Events of May 2018 (1): Committees assembly at Le Vésinet
The committees meeting (Pondicherry committee and supporting committees) was held in Le Vesinet on May 4 and 5, at the invitation of its committee. Convivial, studious meetings which allowed the audience to see the progress of the programs, thanks to Power Point presentations. Constructive also with discussions, sometimes "animated", on sensitive topics like the future of Atelier Shanti which faces a cruel lack of orders or the necessary evolution of the sponsorship program.
A full report of these meetings was published in the quarterly Journal of the 2nd quarter sent to godparents and can also be read on this site.
Note also the good organization of this Assembly, the beautiful evening with Indian dances and Indian meal and the reception at the Town Hall of Le Vésinet. Thank you to all the team of the committee who worked for the success of this event.
The next assembly will take place in Belgium.
Events of May 2018 (2): Emmaüs Toulouse in Pondicherry
The second event was the meetings, during the week of May 7 to 12, of the representatives of the Volontariat of Pondicherry with the responsible persons and the Solidarity Commission of the Emmaus Community of Toulouse.
Two meetings resulted in a four-year renewable partnership document. To date, some points remain to be clarified, then the agreement will be signed by our two associations.
A complete visit of the sites of Emmaus in Toulouse (Labarthe, Escalquens and St-Jory) was organized, as well as that of the future site of Sesquières which will replace that of St-Jory.
First consequence of the formalization of our relationship, the arrival of 4 people from Emmaus Toulouse to Pondicherry for the last 3 weeks of July 2018: 2 employees and 2 companions.
The group is currently hard at work, has discovered the various activities of Volontariat, was able to meet most of our teams at work. Currently our 4 "Emmausians" are involved in the improvement of a building intended to open a crèche and a non-formal school in a village where Volontariat begins a social action with children. Visits are also planned to groups in southern India linked to Emmaus Asia (continental branch of Emmaus International).
Some tourist outings are also planned according to their availability. These 3 weeks will pass very quickly for them and for us, but we are very hopeful of these exchanges.
